I'm Terrible at Marketing...Be My PA?

This is not Haruhi, but he does make this face when he wants something. The same way I'm using it because I want something from you...

Hey, hey, Bloodlings!

What's up? It's ya girl J.S. Living. And, whooo! It's been some time since I last came up here and blogged. And, there's a simple reason for that:

I'm terrible at it!

See, I thought I would just move my blog posts over to Substack since I'm not actively engaged up here (and Substack gives me more reach), but it turns out I'm doing the same old same old.

I don't like making promises I can't keep, which is why I always tell y'all that I'm consistently inconsistent. It's, unfortunately, something I've had to make my peace with. Which, is why I'm writing this blog post.

I need your help!

Pretty please?

I have a ton of ideas for content, but since my mind is all over the place, and we've already established I can't be trusted, I'm coming to y'all for answers. So, here's the question:

1. Do I post enough to satisfy your needs as readers? If not, how many posts would you like me to create and what kind of content would you like to see either here or on Substack?

2. Do you any of you have a wish to become a PA?

   1. I'll be upfront and say I won't be able to pay you immediately. I just don't have a budget for it at the moment.

   2. I know. It sounds really shitty. But, here's what I can offer: A seat at any of my events and free swag.

      1. For instance, I recently attended Apollycon as an author (and plan to do so again next year) and really needed an assistant. My normal people couldn't fill in, so I was up the creek without a paddle. I have a lot more events coming up this year, and I'm trying to find time to write and market my books.

      2. With the longhaul Covid, it's difficult to handle all of it by myself. And, let's be real: So much of being an indie is doing all the things yourself.

   3. So, while I can't pay any money, I can get you into my bookish events at no cost to you. And, hopefully, after I do enough of the bigger events (Apollycon, Imaginarium, Once Upon a Con, etc.) and have another book or two under my belt, maybe I'll have a larger budget.

   4. Anyways, let me know if this idea appeals to you/if you're interested by filling out my Street Team form.
